Yes you can do it using sql (Teradata Manager does this function using sql, so I guess you mean Bteq?).
Certainly clean
-- Resusage
-- Ampusage (but typically only if you're using ASE)
-- logonoff
-- software_event_log
-- accesslog (if you're using access logging)
-- querylog (v2r5 only)
-- DO NOT clean Diskspace manually (this gets done automatically by Teradata)
