We are in the process of pulling a part of a Tdat system out of a current environment and putting in down into its own new environment.
Part of this process will involve recreating all the users & passwords as well as granting access rights. I constructed a query using
DBASE & USERDB to formulate a CREATE USER statement and then I worked on the encrypted passwords separately. My question centers around
understanding the ACCOUNT NAME . As you can see in this example below the account is defined with a value of $LNYDSS$DSS&D&T.
I believe the $LNYDSS$DSS are Profiles. The &D&T are just to incorporate date and time. What I'm trying to fine is a way to view the
contents of the Profiles. I've tried to look for a table DBC.Profiles but have been unable to find it( may be in V2R5 & I'm running
V2R4). Any suggestions on how to see what lies beneath.
create user XYZ
as
perm=0
spoolspace=21,474,836,480
tempspace=1,000,000,000
account=$LNYDSS1$DSS&D&T
password=XYZ124
no fallback
collation=H;
