I would like to hear of some success stories from people using join indexes in v2r4. Both aggregate and simple join indexes.

I am having trouble getting them to work consistently and knowing when to use them. What criteria do you use other than instinct?

The manual is not much use other than to understand the basic syntax.

I have heard of other people having similar problems and that join indexes will be much improved in v2r5.
