I received this note and am curious as to why Or*cle and Teradata handle indexing of nulls differently.

"I found out today that OR*CLE does NOT index NULLS. This means that Oracle will use a full table scan regardless of whether the user submits a parameter value of "ALL." If Teradata works the same way, this could cause problems and system overloads .
