I can't submit the TIMESTAMP(32), it's returning an error 5401: Number of fractional digits out of range. Try a TIMESTAMP(0).
And if it's still doing the CHAR-conversion try different combinations of Options-> Allow use of ODBC SQL extensions in queries and the
DateTime Format in ODBC driver Options.
But the easiest way is to submit it using BTEQ, because it's using CLI instead of ODBC.
