Subj: | | SUPER v2r5 Upgrade |
|
From: | | Harold D Kleven |
I promised I'd post some information on our v2r5 upgrade and so this is the start. Subsequent postings will be sorta 'by subject' and
start with SUPER (for obvious reasons), to enable postings back and forth by subject and to keep conversations on track. To start with, we
pretty much followed the script on our 4400 development system upgrade: backed up everything as for a DisasterRecovery level of protection,
scandisk and checktable. Finished up with another backup at the same DR level and then another scandisk and checktable. Things went pretty
smooth during the basic upgrade. We did, however have a "fluke" table detected in the post-upgrade checktable that reported rows on the
wrong amp. A quick re-def to another primary index and back again fixed the problem. No subsequent occurances of that problem have been
detected.
