Karen,
Why not use the ".run" command and have the DATABASE command in an external file? You then control the directory structure or the MVS JCL
(I don't know your client environment) to make sure that a different file is processed depending on the environment (production or
sustainment).
I'm fairly certain that BTEQ doesn't have this capability, you have to do it using client-side capabilities.
