Subj:   Re: SQL to calculate tenure in months

From:   Burton, Bruce

Thanks Dennis but I'm getting an error in queryman for:

select
(date '2003-01-31' - orgnl_srv_dt) interval month(4)
from subsrptn

Code = 3706.
3706: Syntax error: expected something between ')' and the 'interval' keyword.

orgnl_srv_dt has the date format. I also tried to make this work using a update date field on the same table to make sure the date '2003-01-31' was not causing problems. I may be overlooking something very simple here but cannot figure it out.

The NCR documentation is not very straight forward on this and I've scanned the web but no good examples of an interval between two dates.

Thanks,

Bruce
