Subj:   Running FASTLOAD on UNIX

From:   Tony Howe

I'm mostly a mainframe FASTLOAD user, but I have a customer that is using FASTLOAD on SOLARIS that's having a problem reading his input UNIX file. He's getting the following error and I can't figure out what's wrong??

**** 14:39:02 Starting to send to RDBMS with record 1
**** 14:39:02 I/O Error on File Read: 16, Text: Unexpected data format

It's a very simple FASTLOAD of two columns CHAR(2) and CHAR(6) and his I/P file contains just that, in apperance anyways. Is there something special I need to know about running FASTLOAD on UNIX?

Thanks,
