I do not believe this is the case, since it is suppose to only check idle times of sessions in the DBC/SQL partitions, not utility partitions such as MLOAD, EXPORT or ARC. In any case, we have weekly backups that run for as much as six hours, our alert is set for 120 minutes (2 Hrs) of idle time. Our backups have never been affected by this!
