Craig, Create your "logon file" and call it "dblogon.txt" (as an example). It contains .logon tdpid/userid,password; at the beginning of each Bteq script, have the following code .run file=dblogon.txt; or in your shell script (you didn't say what you client platform/environment is) which runs bteq, add the following cat dblogon.txt bteqscript.txt | bteq >..... Either mechanism will cause the logon statement to be run first. If that doesn't work, what errors are you getting? Cheers, Dave
