Very good review Geoffrey. You can however, also use a Left Outer Join to accomplish the NOT IN processing and restrict qualification of the resulting rows to only those that have a Null on the join columns (from ON Clause) from the right table. This is sometimes a faster approach than Not In when the tables have different Primary indexes. It may be more equivalent to Not Exists??? Good Luck, Eric EJK
