Hi Dieter,

Yep, I'm afraid that I had a simple example in mind and I didn't consider things like FREESPACE, et al. My belief about SHOW TABLE reconstructing from the data dictionary is that it is the way that it used to work before V2R2. I think that FREESPACE and DATABLOCKSIZE were added about V2R2 and so SHOW TABLE might have changed at that time. Now it's probably a combination of the Table Header (for things like FREESPACE, et al) and the data dictionary for just about everything else (things like default values, comments, formats, nulls, compress, etc).
