Hi all, Has anyone managed to get Teradata Manager to send out emails in response to alerts? I'm working with a TMgr 4.1 system and although we can TMgr to recognise that the email needs to be sent the email doesn't get sent. I've checked the '.ALS' file in the logs directory for the TMgr profile and that shows that TMgr recognises that the email needs to be sent (contains alert type of 'E', the 'sendto' email address and the message) but also what looks like a status/exit code of 'F'. I'm guessing this means 'failure' - other successfull alerts have 'S' in this column. There is an email client (Outlook express) set up on the TMgr pc which works properly - I can send and receive emails. The manuals simply say that to send emails you need 'mapi32.dll' installed (and presumably registered). That file is there and as I say my email client works, but I'm missing something. Any clues?
