I'll take your word for this, but out of curiosity, why does the chip matter? At Partners, I heard Ramesh Bhashyam say that the
Teradata code is not hardware-specific. Moreover, I assume that the code is written in C, which is more or less hardware-neutral -- surely
there isn't Assembler code in there that requires the Intel instruction set?!
