JK,

I agree wholeheartedly that there is usually more than one way to skin a cat and would add that Teradata's support of stored procedure like capabilities is not necessarily a shortcoming, mostly, its just a difference that might require a different way of thinking to get to a particular result. I think this is the essence of what you said as well....

Frankly I do not find much need of or use for SP functionality/capabilities in typical DW environments regardless of the RDBMS platform. It is in OLTP environments of one type or another where I have usually seen heavy use of stored procedures, triggers, etc.

As for the PAC, you know that I am always happy to contribute my .02 cents worth to anyone who will listen....Let me know.....Neil
