Hi Rita:

Teradata (as of R4.?) has a UPSERT statement. Regardless of whether you are using a macro or a stored procedure it should work. You can certainly attempt it in a trigger, however, there are restrictions and I cannot tell if it will work.

Otherwise, an UPSERT can be built using MULTILOAD or TPUMP to do what you seek.
