Ruth, We are incurring a similar situation at the client I am currently at. The problem you are seeing sounds like a Teradata DBMS problem we discovered. Specifically, we are seeing some number of user ids that show SUM(CURRENTSPOOL) values greater than zero even though the IDs are not logged on. The good news is that this is an "accounting" issue and not a space issue. In other words, it is only a cleanup problem with Teradata. The spool is not really in use. This can be verified by using the FILER utility. The problem can be corrected (at least temporarily) by resetting the currentspool for any users not logged on, similar to the ClearPeakDisk process.
