Subj:   Re: Number of ACTIVE users

From:   Howard Bradley

I have dabbled (with pathetic results) in this area myself recently . I understand what you are advocating with regard to account string expansion which can give useful info historically but wasn't Ruth's original question related to a measure of active sessions at the point in time when her hourly canary / benchmark query runs .

I am also interested in this kind of measure as I am in the process of putting together a query which I can run and use the response time as a (rough) guide to system performance and it would be helpful if I had other information to reflect the position of the system at the time i.e number of active sessions running , some sort of measure of their size (resource usage?) .

Howard .
