I believe Dieter is right - i.e. include multiple names with the same IP address assigned in the HOSTS file. I believe that it
'randomly' select the name (if more than one) from the list. So if I had:
111.222.333.444 td1COP1
111.222.333.555 td1COP2
111.222.333.666 td1COP3
111.222.333.777 td1COP4
and you used td1 in your logon string, you would get different ip addresses with each logon - a bit like ODBC when having multiple IP
addresses assigned. We used this recently at a large customer on the west coast in both WinCLI and ODBC connections.
