Looks like everybody has had a chance to speak-up. Thanks for voicing your opinions.
What we've decided to do is to prevent job postings from being distributed on the Teradata Forum. More than anything else, what prevents
them is that some employers probably view our Forum as being a marginal activity and as long as we stay focused on the Teradata, then we're
probably OK. Using the Teradata Forum as a means of distributing job recruitment posts would likely cause us to cross from being 'Just OK'
to being banned.
We are currently working on a Home Page for the Teradata Forum and hopefully it will be ready in the near future. When it's ready, we'll
have a section where recruitment offers can be posted. There will also be space for announcements, sample code and downloads.
In the meantime, we would like to accommodate those who might be interested looking for a new position. So until the Home Page is
online, if you'll send us a note directly (and not through the TDATA-L list), we'll create a distribution list. We will then have those who
would like to distribute a recruitment post send it to us and we'll forward it to our distribution list.
So thanks for speaking-up and thanks for being patient with the resulting volume.
