The TDATA-L list has received an invitation from Steve Paravola of BEZ Systems to join a Conference Call on 'Teradata Tuning Tips and Techniques'. This Conference Call is vendor neutral and sales-free. If interested, please see Steve's note below. There is a limited number of people who can attend, so if interested, sign-up soon. Just in case you think that I'm opening the TDATA-L list to spam: I'm not. This invitation has been sent to the TDATA-L list because the Conference Call is open to all, free to the caller, vendor neutral and sales-free. If BEZ accomplishes the stated goals for this conference, then they should be applauded for taking the high-road and providing the Teradata community a valuable opportunity. If other vendors would like to offer similar services, please send me an announcement for review. If the service is offered in the same spirit, I'll be happy to forward it to the TDATA-L list. If the members of the TDATA-L list want to keep these types of announcements off-the-list in the future, then please speak-UP. ----------------------------------------------------- We would like to invite you to a BEZ Systems sponsored conference call on Thursday June 14, 2001 called: "Teradata Tuning Tips and Techniques". The purpose of this conference call is to allow Teradata Database Administrators (DBAs), Performance Analysts and Systems Administrators to discuss their real-life performance tuning and capacity planning experiences. By sharing both successes and failures, participants will help each other ensure they meet or exceed their Teradata performance goals. The Teradata Tuning Tips and Techniques conference call will be vendor neutral and sales-free. This means that participants will be allowed to discuss any vendor solutions that assist them in their Teradata tuning and capacity planning efforts, but vendors will not be allowed to elaborate on their own solutions unless specifically asked to do so by a customer. The target audience of our conference call is intended to be nearly anyone working closely with Teradata performance and tuning or capacity planning. We have already registered dozens of top Teradata performance experts from around the United States to attend on June 14th. But if you are newer to Teradata performance management, or would rather listen to the conference call without actually contributing your own tips or techniques, simply let us know ahead of time that you wish to audit only. We are very excited about assisting Teradata customers in sharing their performance expertise. To register for this event, please call Imran Kareem at (312) 641-2200, or register on our web site at If you feel anyone else at your organization would be interested in attending the Teradata Tuning Tips and Techniques conference call, please forward this e-mail to them! Thank you
