Helen,

It seems like you are confusing terms.

First of I think that you mean NUSI (Non Unique Secondary Index) on column M. A table can only have on Primary index (UPI or NUPI). You've said your table A has a UPI on some set of unique columns. This is where your original DDL would help us.

Also, It was my understanding that with the Create B as syntax, you need to select the columns L,M,N in order for them to be used as your Primary index for the new table. However, I guess I could be wrong, since I would have expected an error when you didn't select these columns but referred to them in the Unique Primary Index reference. Is this the actual SQL that you submitted.

Finally, an explain of your request in addition to the SQL and original DDL would be very helpful.
