Assuming the "Create B as select sum (x), sum(y) from A" causes Table B to be created with what? As a PI (the SUM(x) column). If that is so then I would think you will have a high skew on the values of SUM(X). I haven't tried tried the "CreateTable AsSelect" function yet so just a guess.
