If you don't have to be too precise (say, to the nearest degree), you could calculate the values of the trig functions you need elsewhere (with a program or even an Excel spreadsheet) and load them into a small table to use in your calculations. (Before calculators came along, tables of trig functions were the most common way to do a calculation like this anyway.) Bruce
