Hi Chris: FastExport and most of the Teradata utilities do not care about column headings. They are only concerned with positional fields of data. If you are attempting to use the column headings for a PC spreadsheet, you might want to use BTEQ. It has the ability to export a DIF (Data Interchange Format) file. This file format is compatible with all the major PC spreadsheet programs (ie. Excel, Lotus, etc). It does not look like a standard file, because it is not. Instead, it defines tuples and various other "record" types to define the cell location of each piece of data. The column heading are included.
