Anyone at all can submit an Enhancement Request (ER) to the PAC. The Product Advisory Council is one of the committees of the NCR Partners user group. The PAC helps NCR manage the ER process; from NCR's point of view ERs are anonymous but have collective backing of the PAC membership. So it doesn't matter whether the submitter is a "small-time consultant" or DBA for the world's largest data warehouse. To submit an ER, go to the user group's web site and click on the "What is Partners?" link on the left, then click the "Product Advisory Council" link at the top of that page, and you'll see a link to the ER form. (Yes, we realize this is rather obscure and that the drop-down lists are out of date. A website redesign is pending which should correct this and make the path to the ER form much more obvious.) NCR customers who have access to SupportLink can obtain summaries of active ERs and status or disposition reports. And NCR's Release Summary documents and the "What's New" sessions at the conference generally include lists of ERs implemented in a particular release. The process does work. Of course, when you talk about adding features to some future release, even "the next release", it may be quite a while before you see results. --
