Yvonne, Not easily, although if you're dealing with high volume then you may not any real choice. Fastexport has no native commands to generate what you want, you've got to do it in the sql. One sql to generate the header information, one for all the detail and you'll have to insert the pipe characters between each field - but it can be done. If you're running under unix, then you'll probably find there are numerous utilities which can convert a file to the type that you want (sorry but I'm a mainframe luddite so I can't help you there !).
