Mike,

In V2 R3, while you can submit a collect statistics on , I don't think it works like you've portrayed here. As I understand it (I could also be wrong) in V2 R3, when using the entire table option, the statistics are re-collected on each column or index that you had collected statistics on previously, but these are executed serially one at a time. So no time savings. This option is much easier.

In some release of V2 R4, I've heard that this will be done more efficiently but I don't know exactly when.
