I'm not sure that an ETL tool would really be geared more toward one target database than another. When we built our original data
warehouse on Informix (c. 600GB), we used a tool called Prism; it generated Cobol code that produced load-ready files. Once you have the
load-ready files, you can use FastLoad or MultiLoad as usual. But frankly we found that Prism was more of a headache than it was worth; we
finally threw it away and just maintained the Cobol code ourselves.
