In the Teradata Manager Manual and in the BTEQWIN help file I have seen references to running BTEQWIN as a stand alone application rather than under Teradata Manager, but I cannot seem to get it to work.

From the BTEQWIN's help file.....

Log on to the Teradata RDBMS from BTEQWIN

Select Sessions | New from the menu bar.

If running BTEQWIN standalone or under Teradata Manager, type:

.logon [,,'acctid']

then press Enter.

Problem is that "sessions" does not work in stand alone mode all you get is dialog box that pops up for a split second.

I know that I can [and have] created a Teradata Manager Profile that only has access to BTEQWIN, but what I really need is the stand alone version.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
