We use our own Calendar table and our financial years are as you describe.
When we upgraded to V2.R3, I created a view through the System Calendar to mirror the table. From memory (I am writing from home, not
from work), the view contained the start date for each year, used in a case statement.
The view produced the same data as the table, but with a few experiments, did not perform as well as the table, and was not pursued.
This may have been due to the difference in the number of rows in the tables, our table being limited to a range of less than10 years.
