Hope the following information helps. NCR is successfully using OLE-DB at a large retailer on the west cost successfully in a production environment pulling data from SQL Server and Oracle. Note - you will find performance "slower" when pulling Oracle data that SQL Server. Seems like 'Chairman Bill' has not fully optimized OLE-DB for the Oracle environment as of yet! Duh - wonder why? NCR Client Software (NT): - OLE-DB module - NT Utilities (FastLoad, Multiload, etc.) found under TUF5.2 or 6.0 - depending on your current Teradata release - WinCLI (for the utilities) Oracle - Oracle Client (NT) Attached is a crib sheet on how to configure the Oracle Client. www.teradataforum.com/attachments/a001204a.doc This will pull Oracle data from Oracle and feed it directly to the load utility (FastLoad, MultiLoad, etc.) running on the NT Client straight into your Teradata table(s). There is no flat file created. Thanks for Scott Allen - NCR Associate for putting this together. JK
