All, I would appreciate any information that you are willing to share regarding Chargeback for Teradata system resources. What are the some of the guidelines that are being utilized for are charging back Teradata system resources? Does anyone have any formulas for calculating the total number of CPU and IO cycles used against the total number of CPU and IO cycles available. I would also be interested in how a chargeback calculation was altered when a job was migrated to Teradata from another system such as mainframe DB2 or Oracle on a UNIX platform. For example : If a particular job ran 2 weeks and took many CPU minutes on a mainframe (many $$$) and was moved to Teradata and took only 30 minutes and much fewer CPU and IO cycles (more efficient , less system resources). Did you lower the cost to your customer because of the lower cost or increase it because of better service? Thanks Chris Moore
