Karen, (sorry for the delay, I've been offline for a while) You've had lots of useful info in this thread, but one point I'd like to add. You mention about tracking how long queries run for. The Teradata Access Log doesn't do this directly. It records a start date/time, but not end date/time or elapsed time etc (not even in v2r4). In specific circumstances, you may be able to say that the time difference between two consecutive queries for the same session gives the elapsed time for the first, but that requires knowledge of your application.
