Ulrich, David (Roth) is correct in that you shouldn't go around amending system tables. I've seen it done in production scripts and it generally works, but bear in mind that NCR do NOT support such actions (and I think that's a reasonable stance to take). Assuming that the passwords that you want to be non-expiring are for batch id's etc (and therefore you know what you want the passwords to be), then it's a fairly simple task to write a Bteq script which generates the necessary "MODIFY USER ..." commands to ensure that the password for those userid's never expire. But, it would be nice if Teradata did it for you... Regards, Dave
