We are running the teradata utilities on SUN Solaris 2.6. We configured the OS that it is able to handle files with a size with more than 2 GB. We checked this by producing some big files. When we export big teradata tables (>2GB) we get an abort. We assume that there are some old (and not documented?) limitations in the fast export routine on UNIX. Does anybody know about this topic? Is there an easy solution for this problem? We solved the problem by using a perl-script which does multiple exports and merge the different export files. But I think that this is a waste of time and space (mine, teradatal and unix ). Thanks for help. Regards Ulrich
