Hello All,
In the space usage report (Hierarchy) in Teradata Manager the Hierarchy Space reflects the max spool for DBC where it displays max perm
for all underlying DB's. It also picks up the 'In Use' total which turns out to be sum of the currentperm for each database in
DBC.Tablesize. The 'In Use' figure for DBC does not appear to correlate to anything I can find. Can anyone explain what the 'In Use' total
for DBC truly reflects?
Here are the numbers from the Space Usage Report
HierarchySpace(MaxSpool) In Use
133,946,230,702 7,894,576,640
From DBC.AllSpace
sum(currentPerm) sum(PeakPerm) sum(PeakSpool)
3,043,604,480 3,621,446,144 528,211,456
sum(MaxPerm)
24,439,080,702
From DBC.TableSize
sum(currentPerm)
1,521,805,824
Thank you,
