Subj:   Re: Have Brian Marshall's books been updated?

From:   John Hall

I received a note from Brian a few days ago. Here's the part concerning his books:

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

With some regret, Education In Parallel, the publisher of the Teradata Trilogy, is winding up the business effective March 31, 2000. Although a few copies are still available through AMAZON.COM, "The Teradata Database - Introduction and SQL" is effectively out-of-print, gone to its great reward, taken its final curtain, passed over and has become, in effect, an ex-book. That's the bad news.

The good news is that we still have a small supply copies of the other two books, "The Teradata Database - Application and Archive/Recovery Utilities" and "The Teradata Database - Implementation for Performance" available at the 2 for 1, all-time low price of $95.00 + P/P for BOTH volumes for which we can bill you direct or charge your major credit card. Simply reply to this E-Mail, call us at (760) 365 9258 or FAX us at (760) 365 1469.

In the meantime, we would like to thank you for your overwhelming support in the past and for making the Trilogy an unbelievable success. We remain convinced that Teradata will continue to enjoy its inherent superiority in the market place and wish you great success in your data warehouse endeavors.

However we feel the time has come to broaden our own horizons and explore somewhat wider literary frontiers.

Thank you again,

Brian Marshall
