Subj:   How to retrieve ROLLBACK information from the system?

From:   Yves Mackels

I would like to know how others Teradata site are doing statistics about ROLLBACK.

Is there anything I can do to search in the DBC tables/views for current/old ROLLBACK session?

At the moment, we have a delete statement that has been aborted. Therefore, the session is ROLLBACK. In order to give an estimation time of that ROLLBACK we are looking from time to time at the tablesize of the table.

I have found in the DBC Data Dictionnary reference manual that I can retrieve ROLLBACK information from the following table: DBC.Indoubtreslog. However, when I run a query on DBC.InDoubtreslog I receive no rows. So, I guess that the information stored in DBC.inDoubtreslog depends on the way the session has been rollbacked.

I would really appreciate any experience about ROLLBACK, ROLLBACK statistics.

Thanks,
