Subj:   Re: Tactical queries missing SLA

From:   Gupta, Vipin

Hi,

Here are few suggestions:

1. For increased initial delay (FirstStepTime-StartTime)

Check if ParserExpReq is the one which is recording all the delay time ?

If yes, consider:

a) grant privileges on database level instead of object/column level (for stored procedure objects)

b) consider changing DBSControl internal flag EnableExpediteExp to 1

2. For tactical workload management

Check if you are running short of awts from ResusageSAWT table.

a) If no, you may want to increase reserve count for tactical awts

b) if yes, check memory usage on your system. If you do not observe much swapping and since CPU is already available, you may go for awt increase on your system.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Vipin Gupta
