Subj:   Re: Unable to create database with same name after dropping the database

From:   Dave Wellman

Hi Shankar,

It looks like the parent of the database you are trying to create does not have enough perm space available. The message you are getting is:

*** Failure 3541 The request to assign new PERMANENT space is invalid.

If you look in the messages manual for this error you will find:

3541 The request to assign new PERMANENT space is invalid.

Explanation: The user tried to give more PERMANENT space to the new user or database than the parent user or database had available, or the user tried to reduce the space below the amount in use.

The fact that your new perm space is different is not the issue. The problem is that your new perm space is too big.

Cheers,

Dave
