Hi Sandeep,

Yes FX works with dates and numbers. What I think you've missed is that the output data file contains those fields as binary fields (i.e. the DATE column is a 4 byte binary number). In your second example you specificlaly converted the date to a character field so it is written to the output file as text.

Read the FX manual looking at the EXPORT command and the FORMAT option.
