Subj:   Teradata limit on reusing same password

From:   JAMES PARK

TD 14 on SLES 11.

IRS requires that users are prohibited from using their last 24 passwords to deter reuse of the same password.

We use LDAP to control user's passwords and the limit is users can't user their previous 12 passwords.

Does Teradata have a limit on this?

Is the increase from 12 to 24 possible through LDAP not through Teradata?

I'd like to correct my question.

There are local users that don't access to DW using LDAP such as SYSDBA.

What's the limit of reusing same password?

Thank you,
