Hi all

have any of you implemented a Columnar solution with demonstrable benefit when compared to a (more typical) non columnar solution.

If so can you share what type of requirement was best suited to the columnar solution.

I have some theoretical understanding of Columnar having read a few documents etc but I'd like to understand a real world practical example where columnar was deemed the most appropriate solution.

I'm interested in learning about any advantage with your columnar solution but would be particularly interested in any performance benefits (CPU, I/O, Space etc)
