We would like to know how we can do performance testing of our production environment, before we can see any surprises on the production environment w.r.t performance. TLE provides capturing of COST of the production environment which can be dumped on our test/dev environment, but then will this help in performance testing. Since with TLE we can only look at the behavior of the optimizer b/w the two environments - but will this suffice to do any kind of performance testing emulating the production environment. Anyone who has done such thing please share how we could achieve the same.
