Is there any UDF/Function in TD to convert BYTE to CHAR ?

In my plant I am trying to fetch data from DB2 and datatype defined is Bit datatype, Is there any datatype in TD which can accept value of BIT datatype of DB2 except Byte datatype.

I understand I can use Byte datatype ,but I am facing issue while converting the byte datatype to show hexadecimal value.

Please respond...
