Let's see, could it possibly be the "Canary Response Times" portlet? And perhaps less obvious: Productivity, Today's Statistics, System Health (detail view) portlets

The macros you mention exist for security & logging purposes; the Remote Console executes the macro to verify you are authorized to use the function.

If the EXEC MACRO succeeds, the corresponding command can proceed.
