Thanks for reply.

While extracting from DB2, I made it as IFNULL(COLUMNA, '00') So the NULL values are replaced with 00.

While loading, I checked for 00 and replaced with NULLs. It went fine. So no need of data conversion required. When I changed the data types thru CAST, I didn't get the data properly into tera table.
