I am not sure whether you are using Unity or not. But we are on Dual Active System and using Teradata Unity. I heard that we cannot do a insert into table that got identity col. To overcome this limitation, Teradata suggested to drop only the identity col attribute (NOT THE EXACT IDENTITY COL) and keep the column and its data.
